THE NORTH CAROLINA
FOLIC ACID COUNCIL:
OUR PARTNERS
The Council's strength comes from
our terrific partners in the Fullerton Genetics Center in
Asheville; the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill;
the Division of Public Health at the North Carolina Department
of Health and Human Services; the NC Healthy Start Foundation,
which distributes our printed material; and many others.
We have a diverse, dedicated and active Executive Committee
that meets monthly to direct the work of the campaign. The
state legislature provides the Council with $300,000 in
recurring funding each year; we also recieved a one-time,
$3 millon Vitagrant award from the Attorney General's office
in December 2003.
