North Carolina Folic Acid Council

Join the Council and get involved today!

We invite any individual or organization in North Carolina who wants to make a difference in the fight against neural tube defects to join the North Carolina Folic Acid Council (NCFAC). There are no dues and meetings are held annually, either at a conference or via teleconference. Click here to fill out our online form so that we can add you to our membership database. You can opt out at anytime by contacting us.

Once you become a member of the NCFAC, we encourage you to contact our statewide coordinator to see how your particular skills and interests can assist and enhance our ongoing efforts.

As a member of the NC Folic Acid Council, it is suggested that you:

  • Keep contact information current for the directory
  • Participate in activities that promote the Council’s mission
  • Help evaluate the components of the Council
  • Attend one meeting per year

There are many benefits to being a Council member. You can:

  • Join any committee or workgroup
  • Designate a representative to participate in meetings and vote on your behalf on any business before the Council
  • Participate in all Council activities
  • Use the Council logo as stipulated in the Partnership Agreement and with the consent of the Executive Committee
  • Speak and/or advocate on behalf of the Council with the consent of the Executive Committee
  • Receive mailings and up-to-date information on folic acid and the Council’s work
